Parents as Partners Conferences

We are excited to welcome you to our Parents as Partners conversations for grade 1-7 students next week. These meetings are the beginning of an important conversation about your child’s learning journey. They provide an informal opportunity to discuss your child’s strengths, reflect on goals for the year, and share information that will help support a successful school year.

Most importantly, this gathering is a chance to strengthen the partnership between home and school. Through open communication and collaboration, we can work together to support each child’s growth, well-being, and success. We look forward to seeing you there!

Kindergarten Students in Divisions 14 & 15 will NOT be participating in these conferences as they have already had their welcome meetings.
Please note there is an early dismissal on Wednesday, September 23rd at 1:51pm for all students.

  • What are some of my child’s strengths?
  • How has my child adjusted to school so far this year?
  • What are my child’s hobbies and interests?
  • Are there any concerns I would like to discuss?
  • Are there any medical, social, or family considerations that may impact my child’s learning?
  • What approaches work well for my child at home when setting expectations and encouraging positive behavior?
  • Are there any friendship concerns or social goals for my child?
  • What family values, expectations, or responsibilities are important to share with the school?
  • After talking with my child, what is one goal they have for this year?
  • How can we work together to help my child be successful this school year?

Thank you for partnering with us. We look forward to meeting with you and learning more about your child.
