Literacy Week

We are excited to launch Literacy Week at Capitol Hill during the week of April 17th to 21st. We have all sorts of dynamic activities planned throughout the week such as guest readers, reading in the wild, literacy bingo and a book swap.

*For the book swap, we are asking students to please send in a book, in good, used condition, that is suitable for students from kindergarten to grade 7, that is no longer needed at home (picture book or children’s novel). Please send the book to school by Wednesday, April 19th. They will be used for the book swap later on next week and students will bring home a new-to-them book on Thursday. Many thanks!

Please note –

Tuesday is “Read Your Shirt” Day (students are invited to wear a shirt with words on it)

Friday is “Animal Dress-Up” Day (students are invited to dress up as an animal of their choice)
