In recognition of Black Excellence Day, students are learning about the importance of celebrating the achievements, contributions, and excellence of Black individuals, past and present. This learning helps foster respect, understanding, and appreciation for diversity within our community. Grade 6/7 students will be sharing presentations on January 15th over the PA system with the whole school listening, to honour this important day. As we move into Black History Month, students will continue to build on these conversations through stories, discussions, and classroom activities.
